- Preset Style Options
Synapse includes 10 different color styles for you to use on your site along with 7 different hilites for your modules. Also included are 6 different header / footer textures for you to choose from.
- RokContentRotator
This month, we are pleased to release yet another excellent mootools based module called RokContentRotator. This module is another fine way to introduce snippets of your top stories in a seamless fashion. You can view this module in action on the frontpage of this demo.
- 3-Column Layout availability
Synapse includes the option to allow for a 3 column layout. Simply publish modules to the left and right postions and a you will get a 3 column look.
- IE6 Warning Message
For the Synapse template we included a script that will display a message to IE6 users advising them to upgrade to a more secure browser version.
This is not enabled by default, but can easily be turned on or off with a toggle in the template index.php. When enabled, users visiting your site with IE6 only, will be able to view the message. By enabling this, you can help fight the good fight that rids the internet of the evil incarnation that is IE6!
- Integrated RokSlide Tabbed Modules
You will observe that the modular positions, User7 through User 11 are contained within what appears to be RokSlide. In Synapse, the RokSlide effect/functionality has been integrated directly into the template, providing a sleek stylish approach for extra modules, allowing you to created tabbed modules and tabbed module groups.
- Stylish Typography
Synapse includes professionally styled typography to bring that extra element to your content. Choose from several typography options including various bullet and number styles as well as notice and blockquote styles.
- 20 Module Positions
With a Module Position count of 20, as well as support for many more using the new tabbed module functionality, you will be able create a wide variety of layout options and methods for presenting your site's content.
- Menu Extravaganza
The new RokMooMenu is now accompanied by its predecessor, Suckerfish in a toggle option so you can easier interchange for maximum compatibility. The popular and versatile SplitMenu is also availble and can be seen in action on this demo by default.
- Rocketlauncher Available
The Synapse RocketLauncher package consists of a full 1.0.15 Joomla install, complete with all of the demo images, content, modules, and extensions. By running the installer, your Joomla site will be set up with all everything needed to create an exact implementation of the demo site automatically.
Joomla 1.5 Native
A Joomla 1.5 native version of Synapse is available. The front-end of your site will be the same as Synapse 1.0.x but Joomla 1.5 allows for the option of back-end parameters. Therefore, all the index.php configurable options are easily accessible in the Joomla 1.5 administrator. Simply go to Admin -> Extensions -> rt_synapse_j15 -> Edit. All the options will appear in the right column such as the transition type for RokMooMenu.

The new multi-core processor overview
A multi-core CPU (or chip-level multiprocessor, CMP) combines two or more independent cores into a single package composed of a single integrated circuit (IC), called a die, or more dies packaged together. A dual-core processor contains two cores and a quad-core processor contains four cores. A multi-core microprocessor implements multiprocessing in a single physical package. A processor with all cores on a single die is called a monolithic processor.

WYSIWYG Editor Tip
When placing custom html code into a custom module or content item, it is best to turn your WYSIWYG editor off.
Doing so will ensure the code you place will not get stripped away when the item is saved. Turn your editor off in your admin your panel by going to Site > Global Configuration and setting Default WYSIWYG Editor to No WYSIWYG Editor.
